Banana Porridge

Ingredients for 2 serves:

¾ cup of rolled oats
1 ½ cup of almond or hazelnut milk
1-2 ripe bananas, sliced
1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed (optional)


1 handful of blueberries (fresh or frozen)
1 handful of strawberries or raspberries (fresh or frozen)
1 tablespoon of pumpkin seeds
1 tablespoon of sunflower seeds


  1. Place all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for about 3 minutes, stirring frequently.
  2. Serve in bowls and add toppings.


Ripe bananas with brown spots are better for digestion. This is due to the fact that as the banana ripens the starch turns into a simple sugar, making bananas easier to digest.
